Synonym list
The Synonym List subtab is important for managing the lists of synonyms used in a clinical study's coding process. Effective synonym management ensures consistency and accuracy in the coding of medical terms, which is crucial for maintaining data quality and compliance with regulatory standards. Properly managed synonym lists facilitate efficient data interpretation, minimize discrepancies, and support the integrity of the study's findings.

In this subtab, administrators have access to the following options:

Create a new synonym list: permits administrators to create a new list of synonyms tailored to the study's requirements.

Edit an existing synonym list: permits administrators to modify existing synonym lists, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.

Activate/Deactivate: provides the ability to activate or deactivate specific synonym lists as needed, controlling their usage in the coding process.

Delete: permits the removal of outdated or unnecessary synonym lists from the system.

Upgrade: facilitates the updating of synonym lists to the latest MedDRA and WHODrug versions, ensuring that the most current terminology is used.

Import: permits administrators to import synonym lists from external sources, streamlining the integration of new data.

Export: supports the export of synonym lists for sharing or backup purposes.
