Autoexecution engine

The role of the autoexecution engine is to run automated tasks created by CTMS users. An autoexecution task is a functionality of the CTMS application designed to configure one of the following automated events:

  • The autocreation of a monitoring visit based on the outcome of the background system analytics of the specific Key Risk Indicator (KRI) data.

  • The triggering of an alert email to notify the dedicated personnel of the specific KRI occurrences, such as trend changes, risk level fluctuations, and so on.

A specific measurement used to monitor and assess potential risks associated with the conduct of the trial. They provide early warning signs of potential issues or deviations that may impact participant safety, data integrity, or the overall success of the study.

Examples of KRIs can be AE report timeliness or query resolution time. The delays in both activities may be considered a sign of the study personnel's neglect. Thus, monitoring is required to ensure the proper conduction of trial activities.
