Move question item

The Study Designer application enables study teams to configure CRFs for clinical trial visits with a variety of tools. There are various form field options such as text fields, checkboxes, dropdown menus, date pickers, and more. You can place these fields on the form canvas, arrange them as needed, and make sure they are associated with the corresponding variables.

When maintaining a form, it may occur that the location of some items with the question needs to be changed due to the updated protocol requirements or other reasons specified by the sponsor. Once the item is moved, its order becomes modified and it will be reflected accordingly on the form after it is published to EDC.

Important

You can only move items within the same question.

To move an item to a different location within the question

  1. In the Study Designer application header, select the CRF DESIGN tab.

  2. In the toolbar, select the latest draft CRF version marked with the respective unlock symbol unlocked_icon_purple.png, otherwise, you cannot perform any actions.

  3. In the left pane that appears, expand the unique form directory of any visit. Then select the needed form.

    Important

    Note that by updating a unique form, you introduce changes to all visit forms linked to it and vice versa.

  4. On the form content page that appears, do one of the following:

    • Select and drag the needed item to the desired location within the question.

    • Next to the needed item, select More more_icon.png > Move move_top_icon.png. Then select the option that better suits your needs as explained in the following table.

      Tip

      Some options might be unavailable if there is no such position for item relocation.

      Move Bottom

      Select move_bottom_icon.png to move your item one place lower than its current position.

      Move Top

      Select move_top_icon.png to move your item one place higher than its current position.

      Move Down

      Select arrow_down_icon.png to move your item to the lowest (last) position in the question.

      Move Up

      Select arrow_down_icon.png to move your item to the highest (first) position in the question.

Once moved, the item location within the question becomes updated. You can now continue to maintain forms with available actions.

Any person, company, institution, group, or organization that is a client of EDETEK and a user of the eClinical system.

In the eClinical system, the Sponsor role is assigned to the user who oversees or pays for a clinical trial and collects and analyzes the data. Before the study goes live, the Sponsor users work closely with the data managers, configuring CRFs and other aspects to make sure everything meets their requirements before giving the green light for the study to go live. In the course of a trial, the Sponsor users make requests for amendments in the system according to a new protocol version, changes in business requirements, or other needs.
