Email templates for EDC workflows

In EDC, workflows are intended to dictate the procedure of the source document and payment request handling, introducing an additional tier of scrutiny and the approval or rejection mechanism to reduce the risk of unintended impact on sensitive resources and financial operations.

When creating a new workflow, you add all the relevant stages of the process and assign users responsible for completing each stage. To notify the user of the required workflow stage completion, the system sends out notification emails.

To facilitate user interaction with EDC, instead of setting up the email configurations each time you create a workflow, you can configure versatile email templates for different scenarios. Then, when configuring various workflow stages, you can select one of the preconfigured templates.

For instance, add two templates suitable for source document approval and signing. Then, when you configure a workflow with approval and signature stages, you can select the prepared templates to suit their purpose.
