Data processing rules

The Data processing rule feature is designed to facilitate the creation and management of scripts that define how data is processed before the coding phase. It is essential for ensuring that data coding adheres to established guidelines and standards, providing consistency and accuracy in data handling. By letting users define and manage rules, it helps streamline data processing and ensures that data is standardized into a structure suitable for coding.

Important

It is important to note that setting up these rules requires knowledge of the Groovy programming language, as they are defined within the Groovy editor.

With the Data processing rule feature, you can do the following:

  • View existing rules: access and review the currently defined data processing rules. With this option, you can analyze and understand how data processing is being handled, ensuring alignment with study standards and compliance requirements.

  • Create new data processing rules: develop and implement new data processing rules tailored to specific needs or scenarios of your study. With this option, you can customize the data processing framework to accommodate evolving requirements and enhance the effectiveness of data coding.

  • Activate or inactivate rules: control the status of data processing rules by activating or deactivating them as needed. Activating a rule makes it operational, while inactivating it temporarily disables the rule without removing it from the system. This flexibility helps manage rules based on current operational needs or testing phases.

  • Edit existing rules: modify existing data processing rules to update or refine their logic and parameters. By editing rules, you can adjust them in response to changes in requirements or improvements in data processing strategies.

  • Delete rules: permanently remove data processing rules that are no longer needed or relevant. This feature ensures that outdated or obsolete rules do not clutter the system, maintaining a streamlined and effective rule set.
