Edit dispensation date
In IWRS, you can manage the process of drug dispensation aimed to provide subjects with their assigned medication during their participation in a trial.
For open-label studies, it is often arranged that the actual dispensation of drugs happens before this data is recorded in the IWRS system. To facilitate precise tracking of all drug dispensations, there is an option to change the date of the dispensation occurrence. This allows for flexibility and accuracy of data capture in the system.
Important
Note that dispensation date editing is only available for open-label studies. For blinded studies, you must first create dispensation in the system for it to assign which item you should dispense to the subject. Thus, you cannot first give out drugs and then record the operation in IWRS.

In the IWRS application header, select the SUBJECT tab.

From Subject List that opens, select the needed site and subject.

In the left pane of the page that opens, select Subject Dispensing.

In the Subject Dispensing list that appears, next to the visit of your interest, select More
> Edit Dispensing Date

In the Edit Dispensing Date dialog that opens, add the actual date when the drug is dispensed to the subject and specify the reason for the data change.

Select
to save the changes.
Once saved, the date of dispensation is updated. The change is also reflected in the respective visit's CRF in EDC, where the date and the reason you entered can be traced via the form item audit trail.
