Item disposition
The Item Disposition subtab is designed for viewing and defining item dispositions that represent the status of the item. Further on, these dispositions help you identify the items that are available for distribution or shipping.
The IWRS system includes 12 default item dispositions (items #1-12 in the Item Disposition table) and also helps you to add new dispositions manually.
It is worth noting that the default item dispositions are always present in the system. You cannot edit or delete them, and you cannot deactivate them (except to update the description of the item disposition).
The following table shows the default dispositions available in the system and explains their meaning.

Available |
Indicates that the item is available in the inventory. The item in the Available status can be dispensed to subjects and delivered to the site or depot. |

Lost |
Indicates that the item has been lost and is not eligible for dispensation or return. |

3 |
Expired |
Indicates that the item has expired and is not eligible for dispensation. The item in the Expired status can be returned to the return depot. |

Dispensed (in Subjects) |
Indicates that the item has been dispensed to a subject. The item in the Dispensed status can be returned by the subject (if applicable). |

Dispensed (Wasted) |
Indicates that the dispensed item has been wasted by the subjects. |

Dispensed (Returned) |
Indicates that the dispensed item has been returned by a subject (on the required date) and is not eligible for dispensation. |

Dispensed (Replaced) |
Indicates that the item has been wasted by the subject and then got replaced. |

In transit |
Indicates that the item is on its way to the site or depot. |

To Be Returned |
Indicates that the item can be added to the return shipment and returned to the return depot. |

Ready for Destruction |
Indicates that the item is ready to be destroyed in the return depot. |

Quarantined |
Indicates that the item is quarantined and is not eligible for dispensation. An item in the Quarantined status can be sent back to the return depot. |

Damaged |
Indicates that the item is damaged and is not eligible for dispensation. An item in the Damaged status can be sent back to the return depot. |
