Create follow-up data extraction task
PV uses the data of a specific subject collected and captured in CRFs via EDC. For PV to get the data extracted from EDC, the principal investigator (PI) of a site or a designee has to create a task via the EDC > Safety Gateway functionality.
After creating and sending the initial task to PV, if you have new data related to the previously sent information in EDC, you can create a follow-up task for data extraction.
Important
A follow-up can only be created based on an existing latest sent task. The set of tasks is folded and displayed together.
-
In the EDC application header, select the SAFETY GATEWAY tab.
-
On the page that opens, in the left pane, select the Task Management subtab.
-
On the Task Management page that opens, select Follow-up
next to the task based
on which case you want to create a follow-up.Important
The Follow-up option is available only if the transmission status of the task is Successful.
-
In the Create Follow-up Task dialog that appears, select the Follow-up task type and select whether the report has to be final or not. Then select
.

On the page that opens, complete the task setup process as follows:
-
At the Select Site and Subject and your qualification step, select the respective values as explained in the following table. Bear in mind, in the follow-up task, the site and subject that has been selected in the previous version cannot be changed anymore.
