Analyze completion rate report for eCOA and eDiary
The completion rate report of EDC helps you analyze the statistics of data collection via eCOA and eDiary mobile applications. This report provides visual and structured data analysis that helps you assess data collection timeliness and outline potential pitfalls to prevent noncompliance.
Tip
The data you see in the report depends on the site access permission provided to you via the ADMIN app.

In the EDC application header, select the REPORTS tab.

From the left pane of the page that opens, select eCOA and eDiary Report > Completion Rate Report.

On the Completion Rate Report page, from the dropdown menu, select the app for which you want to view the statistics—eCOA or eDiary.

Now select the needed report view—chart or table—and analyze the statistics as follows.

From the workspace toolbar, select Charts
.

In the Overall Completion Percentages block, analyze the details as explained in the following table.

Element
Details
Total Expected Assessments
Represents the total number of CRFs expected to be completed via the selected app for the sites to which you have access. This number excludes the inactivated forms.
Total Completed Assessments
Represents the total number of CRFs already completed via the selected app for the sites to which you have access.
Completion Percentage
Represents the percentage of completed CRFs out of the total expected CRFs for the sites to which you have access.

In the Completion Percentages by Site and Country block, sort and analyze the chart data as explained in the following table.

When analyzing chart data, hover over any value and see the detailed statistics.

Country/Site
From the dropdown menu, select the value as follows:

Country: to review the CRF completion percentages by the countries to which you have access.

Site: to review the CRF completion percentages by all or selective sites involved in the study and to which you have access. You can choose the sites for statistics representation via the Site checkbox.
Site
Select the checkboxes next to the sites whose CRF completion statistics you want to display on the charts. If cleared, the site statistics are not shown.
This option is only available if you select to view the CRF completion percentages by site.Completion Rate
Represents the bar chart, where each bar depicts the statistics of CRF completion in different countries or sites, helping you estimate the data collection progress locally. The data is shown as a percentage of the total expected CRFs in the country or at the site.
The data is displayed by country or site based on your selection in the Country/Site dropdown menu.Days/Month
From the dropdown menu, select the value as follows:

Days: to depict the Completion Trends over Time chart data by day.

Month: to depict the Completion Trends over Time chart data by month.
From/To
Select the start and end dates of the period for which you want to display the CRF completion statistics on the Completion Trends over Time chart.
Completion Trends over Time
Represents the line chart, where the CRF completion statistics in different countries or sites is depicted by a curve, helping you understand data collection trends over time.
The data is displayed by country or site based on your selection in the Country/Site dropdown menu.Compliance Trends over Time
Represents the line chart, where the CRF completion compliance statistics in different countries or sites are depicted by a curve. The compliance of CRF completion is calculated based on its timeliness, whether the data is collected within the predefined timeframe. These statistics help understand if the data is collected according to regulatory requirements and if there is no risk of noncompliance.
The data is displayed by country or site based on your selection in the Country/Site dropdown menu. -

In the resulting report, analyze the data as explained in the following table.

Column
Details
Country
Represents the name of the country where belongs the site and subject whose data completion statistics are depicted.
Site Code
Represents the unique identifier of the site where belongs the subject whose data completion statistics are depicted.
[Unique ID Label]
Represents the unique identifier of the subject whose data completion statistics are depicted.
The column name depends on the unique ID label configuration of your study in IWRS.sid
Represents the unique identifier of the mobile app user assigned to them when creating account in eCOA or eDiary. This ID helps detect the user who entered data to the mobile app.
Visit Name
Represents the name of the visit at which the data must be collected for the subject via the mobile app—eDiary or eCOA.
Form Name
Represents the name of the CRF in which the data must be collected for the subject via the mobile app—eDiary or eCOA.
Record SN
Represents the serial number of the form record that must be made for data collection.
Completion Status
Represents the current status of CRF completion:

Initial: the data entry is not yet initiated.

Incomplete: the data entry is initiated but the record is not yet submitted.

Completed: the data is entered and the record is submitted.
Time Window End Time
Represents the exact date, time, and time zone indicator when the data must be collected via the mobile app.
Completion Time
Represents the actual date, time, and time zone indicator when the data is entered via the mobile app.
Compliance Status
Represents if the data collection is compliant with the study requirements:

Yes: the data is collected on time and compliant:
Completion Time is earlier than or equal to Time Window End Time

No: the data is not yet collected at all or was not collected on time, hence, is incompliant:
Completion Time is later than Time Window End Time

You have analyzed the completion rate report. You can also export the report for offline access if needed.
