Preview contents of files uploaded from emails

In eTMF, the Files Uploaded by Emails module is the first landing point for all files extracted from the email server. This module also stores the records about such files with their details, even after they are processed and transferred to their destination directories. This allows for traceability and single-source oversight of files for all your studies.

Utilizing this report, you can access the files of all your studies and preview their contents. This feature might be helpful, for instance, when deciding on the directories of the Essential Documents storage where the files must be transferred.

To preview the contents of files uploaded from emails

1. In the eTMF application header, select the REPORTS tab.

2. On the page that opens, in the left pane, select Files Uploaded by Emails.

3. On the Files Uploaded by Emails page that opens, locate the file whose contents are of interest. Then from the Action(s) column, select Preview .

Once selected, the file preview opens in a new browser tab for you to examine. However, for files of unsupported formats, you see a preview error similar to the following.
