Activate/Inactivate country for study
When you add a new country to the study, that country is active by default. However, there may be cases when this country needs to be deactivated.
For example, the country is no longer required because the sites in this country became closed for some reason.
Important
Note that you can activate or inactivate countries only if the study or such countries have not been previously closed, terminated, or suspended.

Access the study management page in one of the following ways:

In the CTMS application header, select the DASHBOARD tab and then select the study dashboard of your interest.

In the CTMS application header, select the STUDY MANAGEMENT tab. Then from the Study Data List table, select the study name of your interest.

From the left pane of the page that opens, select Study Details > Country/Region List.

In the Country/Region List table that appears, next to the active country, select Inactivate
to
deactivate it. Or next to the inactive country, select Activate 
to activate it.

Important
You can only deactivate countries that are not referenced in any sites or institutions.
Once done, the country becomes active or inactive for the study.
