Copy eLearning courses from master to substudy

The eLearning courses are electronic courses designed to educate the study personnel on how to use the eClinical systems according to the role assigned to them. When creating a new study in ADMIN, the eLeaning courses are assigned to it by EDETEK administrator upon sponsor's request.

For studies of the hierarchical structure, if you already have the master study with eLearning courses assigned and create a substudy, you can copy the courses from the master one. This simplifies the procedure of the new study preparation as the users who only work with substudies can still access all the courses and there is no need to repeatedly assign them for each substudy created in ADMIN.

Important

The option to copy eLearning courses from master to substudy is unavailable in the following scenarios:

  • The master study has no eLearning courses assigned.

  • The eLearning courses have already been copied to the substudy.

To copy eLearning courses from the master to substudy

  1. In the ADMIN application header, select the HIERARCHIES tab.

  2. In the left pane of the page that opens, select the needed sponsor icon_sponsor_level.png.

  3. In the table that appears, next to the needed study, from the Actions column, select More more_icon.png > Copy eLearning Courses from the Master Study sync_icon.png.

    Important

    The option to copy eLearning courses from master to substudy is only available for newly created studies for which it was not performed yet. Once the courses are successfully copied, the option disappears.

Once performed, the eLearning courses of the master study are copied to the substudy.

Any person, company, institution, group, or organization that is a client of EDETEK and a user of the eClinical system.

In the eClinical system, the Sponsor role is assigned to the user who oversees or pays for a clinical trial and collects and analyzes the data. Before the study goes live, the Sponsor users work closely with the data managers, configuring CRFs and other aspects to make sure everything meets their requirements before giving the green light for the study to go live. In the course of a trial, the Sponsor users make requests for amendments in the system according to a new protocol version, changes in business requirements, or other needs.

An overarching clinical trial protocol designed to achieve clinical trial objectives under a unified framework. This approach simplifies clinical development by introducing multiple substudies to operate under the same regulatory and operational entity.

An individual component of a master study protocol with its specific objectives, such as evaluating a product, dose, or subject category. Substudy inherits the core structure and governance from the master one but has its own endpoints.
