Export supply plan details

During a clinical trial, each site has to have enough items (drugs) to cover the subject treatment process and perform drug dispensation on time. The supply plans are created to automate shipment requests and simplify the item delivery process. In the supply plan, it is specified which item in which amounts should be shipped to the site, the trigger volume to request a new shipment, and so on.

In IWRS, you can export the supply plan for your study in the XLSX format and use it offline, for instance, to share with those parties who are involved in dispensation or logistics although have no access to the IWRS system.

To export the supply plan details

  1. In the IWRS application header, select the TREATMENT DESIGN tab.

  2. From the left pane, select the Supply Setting subtab.

  3. On the page that opens, under the Supply Plan tab, from the workspace toolbar, select Export export_icon.png.

  4. Once selected, the widget appears displaying your download progress. Select the widget to open the My Downloads dialog.

  5. In the My Downloads dialog that opens, you can find the following tabs:

    • Preparing: under this tab, you can find all the files whose export is in progress, and they are not yet ready for download.

    • Download is Ready: under this tab, you can find all the files whose export is complete, and they can be downloaded to your computer.

  6. Under the Download is Ready tab, next to the file that you want to download, select download_icon.png.

Once downloaded and saved, the supply plan for your study is available as an XLSX file on your computer.

In this section:

In a clinical trial, a location where the subject treatment and drug dispensation occur. It can be a hospital, a private laboratory, or other institutions.

In eClinical, a unit of a drug that is being tested in a clinical trial is referred to as an item.

Medical care given to a subject to mitigate or cure an illness, injury, or reduced health status. In a clinical trial, treatment may include prescribed drugs, biologics, devices, physical or psychotherapies, and such other procedures.

In eClinical, a process of providing a subject with medication at a visit to a site during their treatment in the course of a clinical trial.
