Activate/Inactivate visit from study metrics

The functionality to activate or inactivate visits helps you manage the data entry and amendment process by temporarily making the forms of the visit unavailable for users and then enabling data entry again as per your business scenario.

In the EDC application, with the Metrics functionality, along with the status change, you can also activate or inactivate the subject visits.

To activate or inactivate a visit from the study metrics
  1. In the EDC application header, select the STUDY INFO tab.

  2. On the page that opens, in the left pane, select Metrics > Study Summary.

  3. In the table that appears, locate the visit you want to activate or inactivate and select its status. From the dropdown menu, for the deactivated visit, select Activate activate_icon.png or for the active one, select Inactivate user_inactivate_in_study_summary_.png based on your desired action.

  4. In the Reason dialog that appears, enter the reason for activating or inactivating the visit, and then select save_button_red.png.

Once saved, the visit is either activated or inactivated, depending on the action performed.
