Preview monitoring visit letter

When the monitoring visit is to occur or has already occurred, letters are sent to the site of the monitoring visit to confirm the visit or follow-up its occurrence.

In CTMS, you can track the most up-to-date list of letters that have been sent on corresponding monitoring visits with the Monitoring Visit Letters report, as well as preview any of the listed letters.

To preview a monitoring visit letter

  1. Access the study management page in one of the following ways:

    • In the CTMS application header, select the DASHBOARD tab and then select the study dashboard of your interest.

    • In the CTMS application header, select the STUDY MANAGEMENT tab. Then from the Study Data List table, select the study name of your interest.

  2. On the study management page that opens, in the left pane, select Email Report > Monitoring Visit Letters.

  3. In the Monitoring Visit Letters List table that appears, go to the confirmation or follow-up letter that you want to preview. Then next to it, from the Action(s) column, select Preview eye_icon_gray.png.

  4. View and analyze the letter that opens in a new browser tab.

Once analyzed, you can go back to the email reports and proceed to download or export the required letter, if needed.

In this section:

An activity in which a monitor, usually a clinical research associate (CRA), visits sites to review and verify study-related activities, including data collection, patient safety, and adherence to the study protocol. The monitor also verifies that the study complies with relevant regulatory requirements and GCP guidelines.

In a clinical trial, a location where the subject treatment and drug dispensation occur. It can be a hospital, a private laboratory, or other institutions.
