Delete randomization scheme

A randomization scheme is a plan according to which subjects enrolled in a study are randomized and receive their treatment.

In IWRS, you can delete the previously configured randomization schemes that are no longer needed if they are still in the Draft status, meaning that this randomization is not currently active for your cohort or already completed.

To delete a randomization scheme

  1. In the IWRS application header, select the TREATMENT DESIGN tab.

  2. On the page that opens, in the left pane, select the Period subtab.

  3. In the Period List table that appears, locate the period of your interest. Then in the Period Name column, select the value to open the period configurator.

  4. In the period configurator, drill down the explorer tree and select Randomization List.

  5. In the Randomization List table that appears, go to the randomization scheme that you want to remove. Then next to it, select Delete delete_trash_02.

  6. In the confirmation dialog that appears, select delete_button_white_red.png to proceed with the deletion.

Once confirmed, a randomization scheme is deleted.

In this section:

A participant who is enrolled in a clinical trial and assigned to the site.

A process during which subjects receive their random numbers and are assigned to different arms based on the randomization scheme.

A group of subjects who share a set of specific factors (characteristics) that is first defined and composed, then studied or tracked over a given time period. In a clinical trial, outlining the study cohort begins with clearly defined, study-specific inclusion criteria.
