Alerts

An alert is a customizable notification mechanism that generates an email to remind dedicated users about pending tasks in CTMS. These tasks can be either associated with the maintenance of monitoring visits, completion of trip reports, or handling open queries.

Important

Before configuring CTMS alerts, you need to make sure that the appropriate email templates have been set up. Note that while you can configure alert recipients and frequency, the email's subject and content for reminders are sourced directly from predefined email templates.

The creation and management of CTMS alerts are done under the STUDY MANAGEMENT tab > Alerts subtab.

Alerts are currently divided into two categories depending on their purpose. The details on the business value and implementation of each alert type are discussed in the following topics:

  • Task reminders: explains the types of CTMS tasks for which dedicated users can receive email notifications.

  • Query reminders: explains the types of CTMS queries for which dedicated users can receive email notifications.
