Activate/Inactivate return request alert

A return request refers to the psychical action of returning dispensing items from site to depot or between depots within a specific study. A return request alert is a customizable notification mechanism that generates an email to inform relevant parties about the most current status of any created request to return items for destruction or available items.

The purpose of a return request alert is to ensure the timely awareness of depot personnel about impending returns so they can handle the item return process. By default, the created return request alerts have an Active status. However, they can be deactivated in case the recipients need to temporarily stop receiving an email about the status updates on any return requests.

To activate or inactivate a return request alert
  1. In the IWRS application header, select the ALERT tab.

  2. On the page that opens, from the left pane, select the subtab corresponding to the alert category of your interest.

  3. In the Return Request Alert table that appears, next to the return request alert you wan to to activate or deactivate, select Activate activate_icon.png or Inactivate inactivate_icon.png, respectively.

Once selected, the return request alert is activated or inactivated. If deactivated, the recipients stop getting the alert email when any return request acquires a new status.
